Now take note that if one does not know how to land properly after he has jumped down from a high place, his legs may get hurt. One of the techniques for landing would be to do a squat at that moment when the feet touches the ground.

After learning how to jump and land the right way, then the next thing on the list to learn would be how to roll. Now rolling can be used as a part of the arsenal or probably as a landing maneuver. Now the proper way to roll in parkour would be to do a shoulder roll which involves smashing the shoulder to the ground in order to force the body forward and do a roll.

Climbing is one of the essences of this art because in order to cover distance in the street, climbing over walls will be one of the things to do. Core muscles are the key to climbing efficiently. It is actually the core muscles that will be able to hold the body together and even force its way up when one is trying to climb up a wall.

Also, vaulting techniques will be taught because one will be jumping over things a lot when he is free running. If one is a beginner, he must first start by jumping over small things first. As his training advances, then he can use his hands to try to push himself to jump over a taller object.

So if one would want to take up parkour new york, then these are some of the things that he will be expected to learn. However, it is very important to remember to be extremely careful when performing stunts. If one does not know the proper way of doing stunts, he can get injured.
