Hands-On Soy Foods And Soy Vitamins

By Beryl Dalton

People no longer feel confident about the foods they eat as their heads are filled with so much doubt and confusion on whether the food is healthy or not. Soy Vitamins supplements are some of the foods that are very beneficial to human health. Soy foods for instance have been exposed to so many myths that aren't true. There is quite a wide variety of soy products such as soy milk, soy beverages and foods. Nutritionists affirmed that you can actually use the soya as a dietary supplement or additive.

It is true as well that soy foods and isoflavones should be balanced in individuals' diets. Many people have wondered what the differences between soy protein and soy isoflavones are and whether soy group of organic compounds are capable of providing the full benefits of soy. This is a very good question, soy foods and soybean vitamins provide different benefits.

Usually, soybean vitamins have a composition of only isoflavones and on the other hand, soy foods are composed of isoflavones, proteins, saponins, minerals, proteins and vitamins which are all important to the body.

Many of you may get confused once you come across terms like the iso flavones and the soy proteins. On that note it is important to elaborate the two. The natural plant compounds found in the soy beans and other leguminous plants makes up the isoflavones which comes in three forms namely; the genistin, daidsin and the glycitin.

In the glycoside form, these isoflavones are naturally attached to a glucose molecule. Inside the human digestive tract, bacteria remove the glucose during digestion. As the glucose is removed the form of the isoflavones changes to the aglycone form. Most soy group of organic compounds will typically contain one or more of the mentioned isoflavones, which makes them great in the treatment of specific concerns.

Another very important component of soybeans is the proteins. The proteins in soybeans contain all the nine amino acids that are required by the body. These amino acids are usually linked together to make proteins. Nowadays, nutritionists recommend the use of soybeans to supplement meat with too much cholesterol and fat. Note that too much fats and cholesterol is not good for the body as they bring about diseases like heart problem.

Other health benefits obtained from both soybean vitamins and isoflavones include reducing the risk of developing cancer. Isoflavones are known to be antioxidants and we all know that antioxidants are body protectors. They prevent the body from contracting various kinds of diseases especially cancer. In men, it reduces their risk of getting prostate cancer among others.

As you can see, soy protein and isoflavones, when combined, produce a much broader spectrum of health benefits. Supplementing with soybean vitamins also adds to the beneficial results. The benefits you receive from soy do not have to be limited due to the various methods involved in their preparation, but soy group of organic compounds can be used in addition to soy protein and isoflavones.
