If you are overweight, losing weight can also help your health.

Avoid tight clothes which can have adverse effect on varicose veins. Select more loose fitted attire that lets the body breathe and wouldn't be tight around your thighs, legs or waist. Women should avoid high heeled shoes. Low heeled shoes are a good option because they will assist to tone calf muscles which is good for your body.

Compression stockings are another good option for clothing. They give your legs a gently pressure, offering more pressure than support pantyhose. You will need to be fitted specially for compression stockings. You can find them at medical supplies stores, or at pharmacies.
